If Christians really did believe in God, they would fear God, but they don't. They must deep down be atheist only affecting to believe in God because they know wearing the cloak of Christianity dignifies them for as long as people regard Christianity as a respectable religion. If they did believe in the Abrahamic God, they would be nervous of having already committed 2000 years of idolatry and blasphemy.
What could be more idolatrous than to worship a dead man, especially a dead man who was convicted of blasphemy by the Sanhedrin according to the Christian narrative?
Not only do Christians worship a dead Jew as divine, they worship him as a the co-equal of the supreme and eternal Abrahamic God that Jews and Muslims also worship who is supreme, eternal, omnipotent, omniscient and perfectly moral.
Westerners have been traumatised by the knowledge of this trickery perpetuated on them by their monarchs, ancestors and governments. It is probably for this reason that they hate their religion, hate all religions and hate themselves for having this absurdity inflicted on them by the people they should have been able to trust. If they were children, it would be psychological child abuse.
It is actually impossible to think of a more egregious act of idolatry and blasphemy. It is in fact Supreme Blasphemy. Interestingly, this is another case of the sin being its own punishment.
