Why idolatry is obviously bad for you

If a prophet is divine, you have to worship him.

If you worship a prophet who is not divine, you are guilty of idolatry.

If you are guilty of idolatry, God will punish you and your society who practises idolatry.

If God does not exist and you worship people who claim to be divine, you are being scammed.

Christians have been worshipping an executed revolutionary as the co-equal of the Abrahamic God who created the Universe for 2000 years. It has so stupefied and corrupted them that even now they cannot admit that Christianity is kaput and that their society cannot survive without a religion at least effective at maintaining minimum standards of sexual morality.

The sin of idolatry is its own punishment, since people who claim to be Christian are either too credulous for believing such an absurdity, or corrupt because they only pretend to believe in an absurdity for the sake of income and a place in a morally compromised priesthood.

Jews serve a very useful function of reminding gentiles of why idolatry should be forbidden because for them the penalty is death and they are the world's most ancient and powerful tribe because they worship the most powerful God conceivable.

Happy Rosh Hashanah 5781
