I heard about Abrahamson's institute, but I was never up to learn more about it, because to be honest with you I do not believe it can bridge the 'political" gap between Islam and Judaism. I, however, support the institute efforts for research and education for both religions common grounds.

By gentiles you are including all religious creeds, which you are most surely aware of its nightmarish possibility. The fact is that Creator didn't plan it that way, unless of course, the prophet of Islam (with his second coming) will make sure to include everyone, and leave Beni YIsrael out. I do grasp you determination and support for an equitable global ethical system. But I do not think the Koran is the solution. True, the Koran is largely ethical in character, but they are some some rules and beliefs that are simply way too extreme and "un-ethical" (i.e., the issue of spoils - human (female slaves). One simply cannot pick and chose only items that serves the purpose. It is the whole package, and the Muslim would agree.

Nightmarish possibility of the counter reaction from large segment of Muslim population, At the Islamic legal and jurisprudence level, the fatwas will start pouring in, the reason is simple - why are the Jews excluded?

Yes Islam can be considered a Noahide religion. But go tell this to the Ulemas of Al Azhar and other academies., it is them who dictate which course of action (social policies) should be taken in order to institute any kind of reform..
