But how can Westerners get that feeling outside getting a "fix"  if they have no religion, let alone any religious principles to follow? Moral principles come from religious principles and without religion there can be no package of principles that could constitute a moral system. But Western men in denial would rather die than admit its failure, though it should have been obvious that Christendom ended as long ago as 1918 but nobody noticed or cared or thought it was their place to do or even say anything about it. It seems you do not think it is your place to discuss it either.
