The best you can say is that White Europeans are known to be the proponents of Christianity who acquired three global empires. Race and religion are different words and different ideas. They can be associated with each other, yes, but there is no moral imperative to be permanently associated with each other since white people have options in moral systems to choose from.
If their current moral and political system is no longer working, then they should abandon what cannot be reformed - and I do say that Christianity cannot be reformed - after half a millennia.
Christianity cannot be reformed if it wants to keep the Trinity, but Unitarian Christianity which has excised the Trinity is not exactly maintaining morality in America.
In my view, the question Westerners should be asking themselves is what is good for Westerners.
As a moral and political philosopher promoting nationalism which I define as government in the national interest, I would argue that it is in any nation's national interest to have a moral system that supports the rules of marriage and good parenting. This is in fact universal and eternal since sexual reproduction is necessary to keep any tribe, race and nation in existence.
Marriage is eugenic and illegitimacy dysgenic.
Patriarchy is founded on the practice of marriage and matriarchy is established on ignoring the rules of marriage and good parenting.
Patriarchies are advanced civilisations and matriarchies are primitive, declining, extinct and soon to be extinct societies.
To discover that you are a matriarchy is to discover that your society is dying of terminal cancer.

We don't like using words like eugenic and dysgenic any more but that is really the nature and purpose of marriage: to narrow the people entitled to have sex and children with each other to avoid the degeneracy the West is now suffering from.
