Moral and religious pride

You can only be said to be proud of your religious group if you would choose it again without fear or favour from your family and friends. By this I mean choosing to be Jewish/Christian/Muslim etc again even if you didn’t have Jewish/Christian Muslim etc friends and family.  

Should you be proud of your religious identity?

Only if you have thought it through and compared it to others and arrived at an honest, rational and moral choice. 

It would not occur to most people to do such a thing.
