What’s the point of the monarchy? The purpose of a king was to lead his men into battle. It seems Harry doesn’t see the point of the monarchy either and is using his royal position to make the most of it for his own purposes during his own lifetime. There can be no doubt that he is atheist. His atheism perfectly explains his behaviour.
He obviously doesn’t even know that Christianity was used to support the divine right of kings. If he ever did, no longer seeks the support of Christianity.
Perhaps he is a republican since you would expect members of the Royal Family who don’t expect to succeed to the throne to harbour republican sentiments.
There is a rather amusing portrayal of Diana Princess of Wales repeatedly voting by telephone saying NO to monarchy.
If I were to interview Harry, I would be asking him whether he is in fact a monarchist.
We know from the Old Testament that God doesn’t quite approve of kings and we know from Islam that caliphs are not kings, making all Islamic states republics. The kingdom of Saudi Arabia with its absolute monarch thus presents an interesting question for the purists of Islamic propriety. What cannot be denied is that the caliph is a constitutional dictator and this means he can be removed if he is not governing according to Koranic principles of governance.
